Drift Strategy

I used a strategy of taking the first right and second left while walking through the city. I started near the lake front in a business oriented area and worked my way around. A few times my pattern was disrupted when my batteries that I though were charged all died out and also to go find food. But the images are all taken from a fairly close area downtown.

Image Capturing Strtategy

I looked for things with grooves or recognizable patterns and also things you can look through. I found this to include things like shadows, fences and even a block with similar shaped houses. Some of the images are recognizable but some challenge the viewer to try to figure out what they are looking at. They are all taken from the downtown Milwaukee area and include an interesting representation of things one can find while walking through the city.

Thoughts of a Trapped Trash Bag(Final)

This clip is based off of the rough sketch clip "Running With Red" found below. It adds more imagery of a red or orange nature and still conveys the feeling of the bag being trapped in its cage. It suggests at the places or experiences it would like to be having but cannot while accentuating grooves and things we look through.

Moving and Grooving(Final)

This video is based of of the rough sketch "Lines and Circles" but adds more images to give the movement greater dimension. Just like the other one it is based off of up and down and circular movement and uses images of things we look through and things with grooves.

Moving Through the City(Final)

This clip is based of the the rough sketch clip "Bridge Run" but combines more elements to give the viewer a clue of whats happening but still be unsure what they are watching. Besides just the top of the metal guard rail it includes patterns from fences and trees that one might experience while running or biking.

Lines and Circles

This is a compilation of movement meant to combine the idea of things with grooves and things we look through. The motions are meant to conflict with one another and keep the eye busy through out.

Running With Red

This clip focuses on movement passed walls and compares it to the thrashing of the garbage bag inside its red container. The cutting back and forth between the motion of the bag gave me the feeling that it was angry and wanted to be free but was stuck inside its cage.
